Definition of Conditional Sentence
Conditional sentences are complex sentences (compound sentences) which are formed from subordinate clauses that begin with the subordinate conjunction if in the form of conditions and the main clause in the form of result / consequence (result). There are 4 types of conditional sentences that are commonly used, namely: type 1, type 2, type 3, and type 0.
In general, the conditional sentence formula is as follows.

Conditional Sentence Type 1
Type 1 conditional sentences or first conditionals are used when the result / consequence of the condition has the possibility to materialize in the future because the conditions are realistic to fulfill.
Formulas and Examples of Type 1 Conditional Sentences:
if + simple present, simple future “will” / imperative
1 | If I meet him, I will introduce myself. (Jika saya bertemu dia, saya akan memperkenalkan diri.) |
2 | I will cook dinner tonight if you clean the house. (Saya akan memasak makan malam jika kamu membersihkan rumah.) |
